About the Job
Jacob’s ex-girlfriend, Julia comes from a more privileged, polished world and can be sharp, teasing and emotionally guarded, but she isn’t cold. She still loves Jacob, and carries real guilt over letting her domineering father convince her he wasn’t good enough, then ghosting him rather than admitting the truth. Julia is smart, self-aware and accustomed to making the “responsible” choice, but over the course of the night she’s forced to question whether those choices have actually been her own. Seeing Jacob suddenly commanding the biggest party in the room only complicates feelings she never really got over, and their chemistry moves naturally from playful sparring to real vulnerability.
